The Main Characters
Marina
I’m Marina, a wanna-be housewife. I am a 30-something Michigander transplanted from the country to the city. I currently work just shy of 40 hours at a Monday through Friday job that I enjoy. I know that will all change when our family grows, however, because I won’t want to leave our little one(s). I also dream of having more time to get things done around the house. As I’m sure a lot of you do; I just feel exhausted when I get home from work and tackling the daily chores seems to eat up any time I have left before bed. I love to sew, craft, bake, take pictures, organize and so much more. My friends tell me I am a down to earth, grounded woman; educated to the max and well rounded; a renaissance woman in the modern world; able to create art with a needle and thread or with a camera in hand; polite and pleasant, eloquent, all around a great person; tons of fun and truly a happy soul. My blog covers my adventures of day to day life, growing our family and working towards becoming a stay at home wife!
Adam
This is Adam, my wonderful husband! He is a 30-something East Michigander still trying to adjust to West Michigan. He came to this side of the state for college and never really left (which turned out to be a good thing for me). He met me and asked me out for coffee in August of 2011 and we were married by October of 2012. He has a collection of books to rival mine and it is an extremely rare day that he doesn't have one in hand. He will be the first to tell you that he is not mechanically inclined (fortunately I am), but if you need business, political, financial or insurance advice, he is the man to talk to.
Buddy
Buddy!! This is our 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He was brought to me when he was only 3 days old. He was the only surviving pup from a female who was unable to produce milk. In addition to that, the female’s owner had his tail docked before bringing him to me and it was done poorly. Thankfully there was an emergency veterinary hospital within driving distance and they were able to save him. Many sleepless hours, numerous feeding, lots of training, a few more health scares and I have one of the most wonderful dogs anyone could dream of. He truly is my baby! He doesn’t really know how to be a typical dog since he was never raised around dogs and has taken on traits of his cat-brothers (who now live with others due to allergies). If you ever get to meet him in person you will see what a character he is. I am sure there will be plenty of pictures and stories about him to come.
